Penicuik Youth Band is a registered charity providing children the opportunity to learn a musical instrument as part of a band. The Youth Band is led by qualified school instrumental teachers and conductor. We meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7.15pm at Beeslack High School.
Group and individual tuition of brass instruments is provided and instruments are provided free to members of the band. Preparation for trinity musical exams can also be provided. No previous musical experience is required to join us, children must be Primary 5 or older to join.
All our tutors have PVG disclosure to work with young people.
Membership of the Penicuik Youth Band costs less than £2 a week.
